Although this is minor compared to some of the threads I've seen here, I have a rattle that is absolutely driving me crazy. Use to occur when it was cool/cold outside, but now occurs regularly even in warm weather. Sounds like a piece of stiff wire hitting metal. If I put any kind of pressure on the seat from the front/side/back or if someone is in the seat, it stops. Just the regular road surface bumps make it rattle.

I haven't investigated the cause yet, but thought maybe someone had the same problem and could point me in the right direction. I'm thinking its coming from somewhere in the mounts of the seats as I can put pressure anywhere and it will stop making the noise. Just guessing that if it was internal support wires loose they would continue to rattle when bracing the seat as I go over bumps???? I can even just press on the head rest and it will stop.

Also, when parked, I can lightly punch the seat from behind and it will make the same sound. Any ideas?

I spent the last few weeks chasing a squeak/rattle in my truck. Turned out to be the jack under the rear seat. It had worked it's way loose just enough to annoy the crap out of me.
