Value Of 1962 Ford?

What would be the value of a 1962 ford short bed truck in decent condition with no rust and a running 351?

That miniscule level of information is nearly useless to help you. Give this link a try: trkvalue

So here is the question then, I just bought a 62 ford f-100 for $1300, It is rust free, no dents, good interior and very good paint (looks like forest service green), ok wood in bed, bad tires, bad ruber around the windshield, no radio (i mean no place was made for the radio), and the gas gage don't work. In-line 6 with a 4 sp trans. did not smoke, and the carb needs replacing.

Did I do good?

Well; First & Foremost welcome aboard "TexasKid";
to help ya with the question; in my opinion; without being on site to see the truck for sure; I would break it down into 4 catagories.

Not running; Run's some what; Run as a daily driver, & Excellent condition. body condition is a major factor.
Rust in challenging places and your ability to remove is a cost consideration.
The 351 is not a oem engine for that truck.

Bottom line; the best price value is what the buyer is willing to pay & the seller willing to let go for.

I would compare other places that sell; like ebay for similiar trucks and local add's as well.

As mention without more info and atleast seeing a few pic's its hard to price a truck.

Again Welcome aboard!

Sounds like you should roll with it. Sounds like a REAL good place to start! Welcome to FTE. A great bunch of folks hang out here! I just picked up a 1948 F5, and those guys are great over there too! I think most of us have some rough rubber somewhere!
