Turbo question

Just cleaned to turbo. There were a few vanes that were sticking. Would this cause any problems. It seems to run ok before cleaning. No issues, plenty of boost it seemed. After cleaning everything seems to work well. Have not put it back on yet to drive. Engine still on floor but should be going back in late this afternoon.

The sticky vanes may not have caused a problem at the time, but it would have probably caused a problem later down the road. It's almost an automatic procedure now to clean the turbo any time it is off, just to make sure. Its an easy task and saves you a small headache later.

Did you check and make sure the unison ring and actuator rack mechanism are all in good shape while you were in there?
