I smell fuel!
I have been smelling fresh fuel after using my 1997 PSD F-250. I found evidence of fuel in the valley pan. My local shop tells me the O-ring on the bottom of the fuel pump has failed. They say this is a common problem and pretty expensive to repair. Comments?

What they're telling you might be true, but before I bought into that, I'd check to see if there's a leak around the fuel filter cap. If the wrong gasket was used, or it wasn't tightened down completely, you can get a leak there.

Thanks Quad....Here is what we found
The o-ring in the fuel pump was leaking. A pressure test revealed that it was low on delivery pressure. It was replaced and now everything is good again.
