The difference is unbelievable.
I keep hearing that but when I did that conversion on my '75 highboy, the brakes just went from awful up to poor. I had a 79 high pinion disc front and a '79 F350 booster/master/pedals. You could forget locking 33" tires. Put a trailer on the back or a load and it got real bad.
Yes the article says if the calipers are not replaced with the ones to match the same displacement as the m/c ( 70's car) that the stopping power would actually be worse with the new f350 booster m/c. The article was fairly detailed, there is a few parts that need to be bought also for the brake line adaption, I found some of the parts on the net and others in summit mag. Looks like a cool upgrade that I would like to try also. Let me know what you find out.

I used the F350 unit and also a Wildwood adjustable unit which only regulated the rears down enough to keep from locking, like they could. The article shows that the double piston calipers (F250) are almost exactly the same area as the preferred units. I tried Performance Friction pads and ended up using a softer organic pad. Brakes were still marginal. I was flying blind when I did all this 8 years ago or so.
