i know what paint you are talking about, there is one in particular called Blitz Black its from JD and does the same thiing (I think?) but still its a rust preventiver enamel.
I am going towards that "look" really because I have another project under my wing that I need to finich and want to use the truck as my parts hauler and paying for a good paint job and ruining it with carrying parts around is not what i want to do. Besides, I don't have a paint booth or air delivery system (hell I don't even know what that is), but my intention was to build this truck on a budget and I think I have accomplished that.
Besides I know I will have to strip the crap I sprayed on with the rattle can, and even more crap that's underneath and have used paint strippers before and know the joys of how easily paint comes off with that stuff.

Hey your truck looks great.Sounds like Im in the same boat as the rest of you with the house kids wife ect.It does make the time I actually do get with my 53 very rewarding.John n has also been a great help to me and His words do ring true in that seeing your project and your circumstances gives me motivation to get out there and start sanding.Keep up the hard and enjoy the new pad.DJ
