Greasy hub!
I have a squeaky brake. I took one of the rear tires off to check the brake and found a very greasy everything. A nice smelly thick coat covered everything. Is this an axel seal problem? Is it something I can do myself? Oh yeah, 2004, XLT, ext. cab, 4.0, 4x4, 4.10 limited slip. The good news is, that brake is not the one squeaking!!!!

The oil seal is leaking. The oil makes the brake squeak. You'll need new brakes also.
