Hi, I am new hear and would like to say this is a great site for info. That being said would like to see if anyone has info on the auto locking hub system.
My problem is on my 93 Bronco, on the way to work yesterday I notice that my 4x4 low range was dimly lit on the dash, this got me pushing the 4x4 button on the dash. No light on the dash came on, I know this used to come on however the last time I used it was several years ago when I first got the truck. When I pushed the button I did hear a slight whine noise fro behind the kick panel on the passenger side.
Also the truck has been switched to manaul locking hubs.Once again this was done prior to my ownig the vehicle. The truck was at a stop and the switch was tried in park as well as neautral. With the same response of no light and a whining noise from the kick panel area.
Sorry for the long post, but was trying to give as much info as I could.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul
I probably should have read a few topics in the forum a little more closely as I see that a very similar post is already on the board I will read through more closely, and see what info I find. Thanks and once again a great source for info.
It is beneficial to get off road and use the 4Hi and 4Lo often. If I don't get the opportunity I shift several times without moving just to keep the shift motor free. It is included with the dog pill and home A/C filter change to try to remember to do it.
