I'm new to this site but have always loved ford trucks! I have a 1971 project f-100 that belonged to my grandfather who had bought it new. I've done a search but really cant find what im looking for. My truck has the 302 v8 engine with the manual steering, its leaking really bad from it, everything i read is for redoing the seals for a power steering box. Do they make a seal kit for the manual box? if so, who makes it or could one of you give me a link and how hard will it be for me to redo. If this has been answered somewhere before i'm sorry, i didnt find it, any help would really be appreciated.

Welcome to FTE
The manual steering gearbox has one seal, but you will have to remove the Pitman Arm to install it.
The Pitman Arm connects to the steering gearbox sector shaft. The seal fits into the gearbox housing, where the end of sector shaft pokes out.
You will need to rent a Pitman Arm puller from an autoparts store.

Sorry, there's no application or dimensions listed, and I don't know diddly about aftermarket autoparts store part numbers.
Ford part number: C7OZ3591A = 1 9/16" O.D. / 1 5/64" I.D. / 1/4" thick.
