Stop Gap Rust Treatment
When I brought it up here 5 years ago, it had no rust. Now, it is starting to get rust bubbles.
I don't drive the truck during the winter so I don't have frame rust.
The problem seems to be the result of atmospheric moisture - dew and rain.
Rust is forming inside of the doors, in the cavity formed by the cowl, and seams that are exposed to dew and rain.
I can't paint the truck right now because I have another truck rebuild in progress (frame-off restoration), so I need a one to two year stop gap treatment.
What should I do?
I have thought about spraying a rust passivization compound (need a suggestion here) inside of the doors, inside of the cowl, and perhaps into the cavities of the bed. I also need to treat the surface rust on the outside of the body.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
