New head unit
I feel your pain there regarding the wife. We just got married this summer and I'm still trying to adjust. She teaches, just went back to school today. I think she was in bed asleep by 8:45.
I actually got her on a bike last summer. She liked it...at least she told me she did. I found that it was one way for us to both get out and have some fun and exercise together.
BTW, love the name you've given to the truck. My wife affectionately named ours "Blue Ox"...yes, Babe the blue ox from Paul Bunyan.

Yeah my truck is a sore subject in my house. The wife hates it because she thinks it is to redneck but she excepts it because I bought it to make work easier for me. My last vehicle was a Jeep and I trashed the crap out of it before parting ways with it for the truck.
We get out on walks quite often but the wife never learned to ride a bike growing up and won't let me teach her. I have a friend who is a teacher and he rides a ton. He said he would work with her this fall for me.
I got mine to go fishing last summer and got about the same response that she liked it but she won't go again this summer so I am assuming she actually didn't like it.

You know, our better halves sound a lot alike. I've wanted a truck since I was old enough to pronounce the word. My wife is from North 'Jerz and also thinks it's a bit "red". Since we've been married (2 months) I've made 4 runs to the dump, and have quite a bit more planned as I make more room for her in my house, and clean up around the yard. We looked at Expeditions, but what we wanted was a bit more than we should spend.
We found this truck at a family friend's dealership in Va Beach (where I grew up) and they made me an offer we couldn't refuse. I just rolled over 30k miles today.
Overall she likes the SCrew, it's just not her style. I've agreed to keep a level kit and exhaust off of it until we can replace her 12yo Civic that runs like a top. That might be a few years!

LOL.... that they do. Yeah I just put the leveling kit and a new muffler on this summer. I have had my truck for 2 years and the wife fought right down to the wire on the leveling kit. I was hoping to replace her jeep this summer but turned out we will have to wait a year for that one.
I bought my truck from Medlin in West Point but found it at Richmond Ford. I know the owner of Medlin and he got the truck for a steal for me and it only had 25k on it when I bought it I am about to roll 60k in a month or two.

The Pioneer DEHP4200 is also a great cd player and it has multiple lines of text on the display. If you ever get used to that you will get spoiled. I'm about to switch from my Kenwood KDCX994 to the Pioneer multimedia player, the MVH-P8200BT. I rarely use my cd player, just usb.
You know, I looked at the multimedia only option and I LOVED it. But there are two problems. It was twice what I wanted to spend, and the wife still has some CDs that she listens to. The 3200 was the best option for my wallet and my passenger. I'm very pleased. Plus I mounted the remote, with some velcro, to the upper side of the console lid near my thumb. It makes operation of the head unit nice and easy.
The multi line multimedia head unit was awesome though. Being on a budget sucks!!!

Thanks. This is the first vehicle (3 previous with aftermarket head units) where the bezel hasn't rattled or moved. I don't know if that's due to the bezel or the installer but its one tight solid install. The best part is that the wife learned the basic functions in just minutes. That's worth $$$ in my eyes.
We have that battle constantly. I had her create a playlist on my iPod a while back. I then went and added songs that I liked to it, that I thought she might tolerate. Boy was I wrong in doing that. Those songs now get skipped each time they come up. Nothing like blasting down the highway listening to Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" on crank today on I64 coming back from Williamsburg.
