Rear Diff cover question...

Rear Diff cover question...

Broke mine loose due to a leak, figured it needed new gear oil anyhow. Now, do you guys use the gasket or permatex??

You an go either way. The good thing about the gasket is that you don;t have to let the sealant set up before adding oil. Also, the next time you enter the differential there isn't the scraping and clan up. Your call.

I would recommend using the gasket. just my .02

Thanks for the input/opinions... and BTW.. What's the electrical connector on top of the diff housing??

*** Found it.. VSS on the diff?? That's new to me.... ****

NAPA lists two different VSS's for the truck. Are there two?
