Manual Transmissions not equipped in 2011 SD

WHY????? I'm very disapointed to hear this!

I stress this because I've been a manual driver since I first knew how to drive...and all i ever owned is Manual SD. And I am sure theres more Ford Truck Drivers who relate on so many different levels!

I just want to know WHY?

cause they had very few buyers take the manual (1% overall), and it costs a lot of money to design, build and support.

there is a survey here

the net is how many? 1,000? 10,000?
if there are 500-600k trucks a year, then its pretty small loss, and Ford added a bunch of manual control capability to offset some of this.

but its a business. and us 'personal' users are a small number of purchasers.

This has been beat to death. I hear a lot of talk about being mad and going to buy a Dodge but not many have done it and told us about it. The new automatic with the refined programming in the current flash upgrade makes a good trans a great one.

I'm with Rickatic. Either accept that there is no manual trans or go buy another brand to get the trans you want. Move on people...Next subject
