Feeler For Frame - Rust Free!!
Well, I'm taking on the task of doing a two makes one truck. I have a nice truck from New Mexico that's going to be losing it's body to a soon to be shortened F-350 crew cab frame. So my question is this: Would there be any interest from anyone for the 2wd frame? It is a cheese hole, but it's rust free. I'd be leaving it a rolling frame. Has a 8.8 rear axle with a high gear in it (can't remember off hand, 2.75 maybe?). The front needs kingpins, but I was planning on doing the '83+ swap to ball joints, so I'd recommend going this route. No gas tanks and it's possible I'd keep the driveshaft. I'd really like it to go to someone who is going to use the whole frame and not just the axle. The frame is located at 61109 and I'd be happy to trailer it to you within 60 miles of my place. Not sure of cost, but it's not going to be much. Just trying to see if there is any interest before I begin with this project and feel guilty for letting good parts go the way of the crusher.
