Need some advise!

I have a 2010 F350 6.4. I am looking or some advise. I use the truck to tow in the summer and to drive around town. I live close to work so close that my truck does not even reach operating temp. The only time it regens is when I am towing on the highway. I have had zero problems with my truck as it only has 3500kms. I dont want to void my warranty so I have not deleted my DPF. My question is should I to prolong the life of my engine? I have 7 years warranty so maybe I should not be to concerned. Winter will be here soon and it gets very cold at times here in Canada, what should I do? I am not going to sell my truck ,and can not buy another to drive around town etc.

Take the long route to work frequently, so the engine can get up to operating temps. Short trips in the winter, not allowing it to get up to op. temps will lead you into problems in the long run.

Leave it plugged in all night too. I agree with Front Runner on taking the long route to work. I do in the winter, to let the engine warm up. Sometimes I will hit the local Dunkin Donuts and set the high idle for the few minutes I am inside.

PM StanleyZ, he installed the upfitter switches and did the high idle mod. It pretty easy. I already had the upfitter switches, and it literally took me only 10 minutes to do the high idle mod...
