Wiring For 2007
I just got a 2007 F150. It does not have a towing package. I am going to hook a 7 way to it. I have the pig tail to hook up the trailer brake controller. The first question is do I need a 30amp circuit breaker or does the truck already have one? 2nd question is does the truck already have a wire run to hook up power to the trailer so I don't have to run a separate line?

There SHOULD be a connector under the dash, up behind the radio. You will need to provide the relay(s) required for the signals.... the box should be under the hood with empty sockets if the 150 is anything like the 250. Look at your owners manual for locations.....

Got it hooked up. I assume the 30amp fuse in the fusebox is all I needed and not a separate circuit breaker. Found the orange wire at the rear connector. I had to purchase a relay for it to make it hot.
