Talking new guy with question

great site here!!! just bought 2010 f150 super crew xlt big gas V8. in my deal is a manual slider rear window to be installed by dealer in a week or so. my question is, is the window of good quality? does anyone have the factory one that can tell me? i know that it is in general a week point as far as security for the truck, i just was wondering should i possibly pass on it? thanks for any responses and have a great weekend.....f/dude78

I have never had any issues with manual sliders in any of my trucks. No leaks or security issues. I actually prefer having it. I too just bought a 2010 F-150... w/ the power rear slider though. Congrats on the truck. Hope you enjoy!

LOVE the power rear slider! I have never used the rear slider so much in any other trucks I have owned.

Just took delivery 2 weeks ago on a 2010 F-150 Supercrew XLT with a power sliding window. Got to agree that I never used the rear window as much as I do now! Also, the power pedals are a great option altho I don't think I would order them. I really do like the room in the Supercrew!

Up until I got the 6.0L and the 5.4, I've had manual rear sliders and I honestly only used it 2 times on the last truck I had before the 6.0L. It was just too much of a pain unless I knew that there wasn't going to be any need for me to stop and shut the slider until I got to where I was going.

To me it is actually either get a power slider or don't get a rear slider at all. Others I'm sure would disagree, but that's just my take on it considering what my experience has been with rear sliders.

I had one pickup with the manual slider. the only time it got opened is when I had someone in the back seat to open it for me.

The manual slider will be a PITA in any cab configuration larger than a reg cab.
