and I am betting Del you are a big enough turkey to be invited to everyone's Thanksgiving-- HA HA HA Just kiddin.
I was just thinking that if we are going to have it first part of Dec, then we only have a couple months to come up with a place and make reservations ect ect.
I say we have a vote on which weekend we are going to have the Christmas party, I say we have it decided by Wed, I say we get it decided so everyone can start planning around it, I say we decide quickly so that we can still have our choice of weekends..
I stopped in at Golden Corral in Emporia this week, and they have all evenings free in Dec, but stressed it won't be that way by the end of the month/ beginning of next month. I am not saying that what I say goes.. but these are my suggestions.
We can still get that room, (the EMPORIUM) as long as we act fast.
Everyone agree/disagree, have comments, concerns, or suggestions?
The first weekend or second weekend of Dec are the only ones I don't have to be on call, so those would definately get my vote, but I would be glad to set it up for the rest of you if'n I can't make it, because of it not aligning with my work schedule.
Whatever makes it so that the majority of us can go.
In anticipation that you all agree with me putting up a voting post, I will go ahead and get it started, but that doesn't mean that if you guys wish to change it, we can create another, maybe modify it. (Not sure about modifying it once it has been voted on)
Turkey day is the last weekend of Nov, so I would say that is likely out.
So I am thinking we can vote on first second or third weekend of Dec, or I can put in Jan , and we can start another one for Jan if Dec doesn't work out.
Sounds good to me! We didn't have any negative issues with the Christmas party last year. Location was centralized, everyone had a good time. I say first weekend in Dec because everyone will start having work Christmas parties ect ect starting just after then.
