Search in the EPA charts, there should be one of the best numbers attainable.

Only have headers, high flow cat convertor, magnaflow muffler for mods, but I'm getting 16mpg with a 5.0L and the E4OD tranny.

Do about 70 on the interstate for half my commute and 50 with a few lights for the other half. Total distance one way 36 miles.

Stock sized wheels and tires? If so you should get mid teens easy and high teens on the highway. Check fuel pressure and pull the codes, and then check for the fuel transfer problem if the truck has dual tanks.
