i have searched up and down the forums looking for this but i cant find anything specific enough for my 1973 f100 2wd 302 automatic
what is the stock offset? what is maximum negative offset? i am looking to start with wheels and tires soon and i found a company on line that sells 5x5.5 from -5 to -46... probably going to go somewhere between 16-18" rim and run a 225/235/245 width with maybe 50-60 depth... whats a good offset for aftermarket rims?
also if i lower the truck 2-4" in the front, will this change the amount of offset needed, or will it remain the same??? just thinking ahead of myself...
Try summit racing and plug in 5*5.5 and they have a nice selection , i just bought american racing outlaw 1 wheels 15*10s in back with a 4 inch backspace and 15*8s up front with a 3.75 backspace and they tuck nicely , pics in my gallery , but my truck got wrecked last week so waiting on american tire insurance co to make good , thsy gorgot to tighten my lugs and my front wheel came off , so make sure and torque your lugs yourself . Good luck and post some pics .
i found a company with cheaper wheels/tires with more of an assorted fitment... thats why i was wondering what the stock offset is, and the hub diameter/circumference
Ive got the exact set up as Ken selvy but with the american racing outlaw 2's, as for the stock fitment you could always just drivve up to the tire store and have them measure it out for you.. they will tell you what will tuck nice and clean under there
