Your post says that you measured the resistance between the wires coming out of the ignition module. I said to measure between the wires coming out of the distributor:

I have no idea what the readings coming from the ignition module mean. You need to make sure the pickup module hasn't shorted to ground or gone open circuit which is why I've instructed you to take the readings from the distributor-side.
Ok I am getting ready to pull the distributor to replace with my new one and I find the female side of the plug coming from the distributor is chewed up, where can I get a new harness going from the ignition module to the distibutor of can I just hard wire the distributor and do away with the plug?
You could hard wire it...but I would run to a junk yard take elec tester and snag a wiring harness from a pick and pul after verifying the connectivity through the wires.
OK guys I got it going, I replaced that distributor with a new one and a new wire harness I picked up after two days looking through junk yards (but it was fun I also got allot of other great parts). However truck still cut off after about 30 min. So since I had replaced everything except the coil I figured what could it hurt, guess what problem solved.
Thanks for all the help and advise, I am sure I'll have many more questions.
