Well, im about to start driving in 3 weeks, and im rushing to get my truck ready to drive daily to school and back, well today i started it up and took her for a lap around the block just for ****s and giggles and to charge the battery, well i was on the straightaway home and it just died? I had fuel, it had just warmed up and i felt the ignition coil and it was warm so i thought it was that. But then i hopped back in the truck to see if she would fire back up, nothing. I had absolutely nothing at the key when i went to start it, no radio, no cranking, nothing. I have a new ignition switch, new solenoid, new alternator, new battery, i have no clue
The coil is going to be warm. If there isn't any power anywhere at all, it sounds like you've blown a fusible link. What is the battery voltage (actually measure it, don't just say "it's new")
ive already blown all the possible fusible links, and replaced them with inline 30 amp fuses and they werent blown. The battery voltage was at like 4volts when i jumpstarted it because somethings draining on the battery, but when i started it the alternator was pumping out almost 14v's to the battery...
Unfortunately, your best bet is to start at the hot-at-all-times post of the solenoid, and work downstream until you find the point at which power is cut off to the rest of the truck. The only "gotcha" anyone can suggest over the internet in this case are the fusible links, but it sounds like you've got a handle on that.
