Whoever scanned it for you should have told you which coil it is. When you scan the PCM, and you have a miss, you will come up usually with a code P0300 thru P0310---300 being random misfire (more than 1 cylinder misfiring) or some code between 300 & 310. The number after the 3 tells you which cylinder it is. Example---P0302---cylinder 2. P0309---cylinder 9. If you paid for the scan, go back and insist that they tell you which cylinder it was. If it was done as a favor, ask the same thing nicely.
Just because there is a misfire, it is not necessarily a bad coil. It could also be a clogged or bad injector or a bad coil boot. You could measure the coil resistances also, and compare them to each other, but that won't tell you if one of them happens to be cracked. Also, it's a PITA getting the last 2 coils on each side out---They're under the windshield, and you have to be a contorsionist to get back there.
