Thanks to Bill ,A.K.A. NumberDummy,my NOS front leaf springs were sitting on my front porch when I arrived home from work. They came from a dealership in Minnesota, that Bill found for me.Who'd have thought there would be any still around for a fifty year old truck, and a 3/4 ton truck ,at that.I got two of the last 5 or 6 that are known to exist, and for only 105 dollars each. Two hundred and seventy-eight dollars to my door step, less than the price of one from reputable suppliers. And not a Chinese knock-off of questionable quality.
NumberDummy is one of the "good guys",who make it a pleasure for me to visit this site.I actually follow his posts throughout the different forums, especially enjoying it when he puts the occasional know-it all in his/her place.Though he doesn't suffer fools lightly,he is always going out of his way to help throughout the forums. He is up at all hours of the day and night, posting parts numbers, their availability and locations, and dispensing historical facts, and acerbic comments for mine and others enjoyment. As Bill says, "Rust - and NumberDummy - never sleep." Thanks,Bill

Reason: Kaint not spel two goodish!
Bobby,if I could get either a 63 or 65 Falcon with a really rust-free body, automatic tranny, and six-cylinder,I'd be set for life.I'd drive that instead of the truck,on my 60-80 mile daily commute to work.I'd probably never buy another new car for myself.
