code for keypad

the last time I looked up the keypad code on an excursion I remember standing on my head lookig under the dash with a flashlight. Well, I have a new to me 2000 and can't remember where I looked. Can someone refresh my memory. I remember it was easy once you knew where to look. Thanks

I just stoped at the dealer for this same thing. I also have a new to me '01 X. They told me it could be in 3 places, up under the dash by steering wheel, inside dash behind the radio, or in the rear driver side inside qrt. panel. I looked under by the steering wheel & it wasn't there. I stoped there. They also said they could hook it up to their computer & get it that way, cost about 1/2 hour labor. Hope that helps. Leon

I don't think they put the # in the 00 and 01' years anywhere. It's faster to crack the code.
