VIN # question
I am soon to be a new ford truck owner. I just got word from my dealer that my truck have been released from the factory. 
My question is I remember reading in one of these posts about being able to tell where the truck was manufactured by the vin # but I can't find that post again.
Can anyone direct me to that so I can compare my vin # to that??

VIN # question
Congratulations on your truck! When I got my truck the dealer told me if the Vin starts with a 1 it was made in the states, Kentucky. My buddies F250 2001 was made in Mexico and his Vin starts with a 0 if I remember correctly. Hope thats what you wanted.

VIN # question
Congrats on the new truck. Get your dealer to supply you with the VIN#. He has it on his weekly VOPC report. Then go to this link to decode the vin:

The first digit is the country. 1 - USA, 2 - Canada, 3 - Mexico
The 11th digit is the plant. In my case it was an E which is in Kentucky.

The Dealer gave me the VIN # yesterday.
Cool I have a #1 and an E in the vin # "Go USA"

Oh yea, "On Order" Soon to recieve...
2003 F-250, CC, Lariat, 4X4, Dark shadow grey, V-10, auto trans, 3.73 axle, FX4 and telescoping TT mirors/power/htd.
