Replacement Bed Question
A coworker of mine has 2001 F-350 PowerStroke Long-Bed SRW (black with gold trim Lariat package).
He managed to destroy his bed when his 5th wheel trailer came unhitched! Beyond repair IMHO.
Question: What is the best way he should go about purchasing a replacment bed?
Any recommnedations for Southern Californioa San Diego area?

1999 - 2011 will fit the truck. He'll have to reverse the light plug for an 08 and newer bed to get the lights to work properly. Most take off beds are white, so it will involve some paint work also.

1999-2010 will work nicely, 2011 beds are slightly different.
2008-2010 uses a different taillight and wiring harness.
He should be able to use his old lights if he wants, he will have to remove the wiring harness from the old bed.
I have an '02 with a rust problem and a new '09 bed short bed waiting to be installed.
Maybe this fall I will get it done.
