i just bought one. also bought headers and head studs. putting on an electric fuel system and doing a cab lift. what do you think. its all going on a 97 f250 powerstroke. soon ill get an adreniline hpop and stage 3 injectors
Based on what i just read. I wouldnt put the charger on till i got the sticks. Its 72 mm turbo from what i saw. That alot of turbo for a little fuel. If it was me i would just wait to do it all at once. Much more room with the HPOP charger and stock fuel out to work.
why wait? the old turbo is junk. i do not depend on the truck. i can put them in later. the tranny is stock. upgraded the torque converter. want to get a larger tranny cooler. ill get it before i reinstall the engine
Then go for it while you got it out put it on. I would get a valve body for the tranny or it wont last long. When all the parts are there it wont hold long with just the torque convertor. I cooked 1st and 3rd in my IDI with 20000 on a rebuild with probaly not even 300 at the crank. A valve body woulda been great. Gotta get that power to the ground

I'm not real smart on turbos, but the rest of your mods look good. IMO you need a BUILT tranny to hold the power you are going for.
What size exhaust housing is on the K31. Even if it has a pretty small housing i don't think you will spool it at all. What about the turbine wheel size??? 72mm is quite a bit of turbo buddy, but most of the K31's have little turbine housings on them and can be spooled IF you have some fuel to go with it. Probably need hybrids to make any sort of use of a K31.. Heck I really doubt that i could even think about spooling a K31 with my truck
Jacob talked with DI on the phone, and told them what he was doing. This is the turbo they suggested. So, yes, it will be interesting to see if he can spool it.
