thanks
p.s. i dont know if this would affect it but the exhaust ends at the end of the down pipe it needs a new exhaust system</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

When you changed the fuel filter did you clean the FPR screen? There's a little hole inside the filter housing on the driver side, take the cotton off a q-tip and clean the junk off that little screen.

Also get a cheap tire gauge that goes up to at least 80psi and check fuel pressure at idle from the schrader valve on the driver side outside of the fuel filter housing (brass doohickey aka FPR) and then post what PSI you get.

Also, when was last oil change?

Just FYI you don't have to "cycle" the glowplugs. They stay on even after the Wait to Start light goes out, and stay on for about 2 minutes or so. You can watch your volt gauge as it stays down at first and then when it pops back up is when the glowplugs turn off.

Might be time to get your injectors rebuilt... 281k is a lot of miles for stock injectors.

if your parked an in N can you rev to the floor with out a spit or sputter

You can try and unplug your MAP sensor and see if it helps
