Reversed battery cable at night
I Have 88 F-150 4.9l Manual 5 Speed\
Having trouble with a dead battery on the side of the road a week ago, replaced with our new battery but got the cable on backwards. did not notice at first as headlights, dashlights all come on got it home with a tow strap and friends. To no avail would not crank, that prob turned out to be the clutch switch, replaced then would turn over but no fire. Started checking with a meter for ignition probs found the reversed cables. Still turns over but won't start. what could I have burned out fuse links, relays, eec, etc.

This has been happening a lot the last couple months .. I think. search thought the forum here if you are still having troubles. 9 or of 10 times the fuseable links burn up. Give each one a slight pull, if they feel soft and pullable then there bad and need to be replaced with another fuseable link. Of you can probe past the link for voltage to ground.
That's ware I would start and if your still having troubles try looking and searching old post. like I said it been talked about a lot the last couple months.
