Frank's Facts

This is a pic of Frank:

Hello, I am a fairly new member. I frequented this site for a while before joining.
I bought Frank in 1999 and drove it for a few years. It was a one-owner and ready to drive. But, another truck took my attention for a while. It was a 1955 F100 with 360 FE, but had the original automatic column. I put in a 302/AOD from a 1984 Crown Vic. I also installed a Toyota box for steering. I sold it a while later. I wish I had kept it. It was a very solid truck.
Frank was still garaged until last year. It sat up for eight years. I cleaned the gas tank, put on a new battery and cranked it. It starts perfectly every time, but the compression is low in one cylinder.
I am very proud of this truck and want to keep it as original as possible. It has the following options: Custom Cab, locking glove box, 3:73 rear axle, automatic, electric wipers w/ windshield washer, radio, and fresh air heater.
P.S. I am glad to be here.

Daily Driver

Yes, I plan on it being a painted daily driver. I drove it daily in the beginning because I worked in industry and was always dirty when I got off. Besides painting, I want to rebuild the motor, install better exhaust and use my Ram's horn manifold. The transmission and wiring has been restored. I can get some more pics this afternoon. Thanks.

That's a very nice truck. It should be a simple restoration. Keep posting pictures here as you restore.
