starting problem
once in a while when starting my 2005 f-350 power stroke, it cranks for a long time, then when it starts it idles at about 300 rpm , it wont respond for about 1 to 2 minutes then it runs fine. this only happens occasionally but it seems to be more frequent lately thanks shaun harrington

oil is about 2000miles old fuel filters about 30000 no check engine lights, i know fuel filters need to be changed because of mileage, but this just doesnt souund like filters thank you for responding though.

Fuel filters should be changed around 15k miles. I've seen a 6.0 towed before due to a clogged fuel filter down at the frame rail with around 50k miles on the filter.
Start with the filter change to be on the safe side. Be sure to use Motorcraft or Racor filters to avoid some of the problems known with the "will fit" aftermarket filters.

changed the fuel filters, same problem, it does not happen all the time but it sure is a pain in the butt when it does, my wife has a 2004 6 liter excursion only problem with that is ball joints just wish my truck was as dependable!
