Belive I know the issue, but figured I'd double check here because I haven't had to change or mess with a blower motor before and I don't have any wiring diagrams to verify my suspicions.
Blower quit working the other day. Had switches go bad in the past in other vans, so checked that first, but it appeared ok. Checked all fuses and they are fine. Couldn't get any voltage readings at the switch plug in up top, but when I checked the motor plug I had 14 volts on one of the two wires. I'm assuming 1 wire is power, the other is ground, and I need a new blower motor?
Changing the blower motor shouldn't be too big an issue---I also have a '00. Remove the battery and it should pull straight forward and out---you'll have to transfer the squirrel cage so keep that annoying little clip.
Before that try running a jumper wire directly from the battery to the motor---if it spins then you have another problem---possibly the relay?
I always suggest having one of the Ford factory wiring diagram manuals---available almost constantly on eBay. These have been invaluable to me---I have an extra if interested contact me via PM here.
Power should be at blower whenever ignition is on. Ground is supplied through the resistor and the fan speed switch. Did the second wire at the blower provide ground? If you have power and ground and the blower doesn't work, the motor is bad. If you have no ground, the resistor might be bad or there may be a broken wire elsewhere. As mentioned above, run a direct power and ground from the battery. Use heavy gauge wires! If the motor doesn't spin with a direct feed from the battery, it is bad. New motors can be found on ebay at considerable savings from the dealer.

I swear you are the smartest person anywhere when it comes to this stuff... How did you learn it all?! I digress.. coming here to ask what the worst case scenario would be for someone with 0% experience and 100% bad luck to run a jumper wire here? I've got power to the ground but not to the motor... Can I accidentally blow it... Or myself... Up ? Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment but I'm far, far, far from actually being thought of so highly. I learn by doing, reading here, following things like schematics. I'm far more experienced than "smart"---big difference there.

You'd need to follow the wiring diagram for your year vehicle. There are several switches and controls along with the actual wiring from the dashboard controls to the blower motor resistor network. No power to the motor says there's something failed somewhere in the circuit. If you don't have the schematic and little to no experience its time to call in the professionals or a close friend nearby who can help you out.
BTW if you're seeking help by all means PLEASE identify WHAT you're working on!
