custom motor mounts

custom motor mounts

i put a big block in an f-1 and had to make motor mounts this is how i did it. i bought the bushings from kragen and the steel from local metal shop. cost about 30 bucks plus my time.

Great job and the best part is they were cheaper than ordering a pair out of a catalog...

Looks very nice...just outta curiosity, what did you tell the counter guy at Kragen to get him to pull those bushings?

well, when you have a project car you tend to get to know the parts ppl..told the guy what i was doing and after the blank stare went away...he let me open a few boxes...bingo found the ones i liked...off i went..8 bucks apair..w00t

That is why I love working on my rig. To make things out of nothing for our rides and the best part it dont cost alot of $$$. Great job on the mounts!!

Well, that is sometimes the case. I've been known to spend $50 making a $5 part just cuz it was more fun to make it or I couldn't get it right away.
