camshaft sensor or not?
hi, i have a friend who has a 2000 excursion 10cyl. she says the rpms are jumping from around 600 to 2k or so, at ramdom while driving. took it to auto zone and had it put on computer. they said it was a camshaft sensor, that was changed and still with same problem, was told it may be the wiring or something to do with the timing belt. has any one experienced this or may know what it could be, without having to shell out big buck's on the process of illimination.
