Ok, the front tires on this 82 F250 are wearing on the outside edges bad. When looking at the truck from the front, the front tires have a lot of positive camber compared to the rear tire. Both sides are wearing the same. It looks like the twin I beam has too much spring, but it is stock height, and as far as I know, stock springs. Toe measures at about 1/16" in using race car toe plates.
I have heard from a friend that worn kingpins can cause this, but seems strange. I would have expected negative camber.
Yes there is play in the front end. Not sure yet where the play is.
Makes me think this "120k mile" truck is actually 220k or 320k.
