hey guys,, found several set of instructions and doesnt seem too hard.. but just a quick question. I got the 21/64 bit,, got the 18-27 Tap. and i practiced on a scrap pc of metal of comparable thickness. It seems to me that it didnt finish up very tight. Like maybe the tap or hole needed to be a hair smaller. If i put a washer behind it , it got better, almost as if it was running out of threads. Did I get the wrong tap,, wrong size hole. Just wanting to make sure this is right,, no do overs here. thanks..

Reason: spelling
ALL NPT tapers......that is why as you thread it on, it gets tighter. MAKE sure you have the right NPT tap like I said before....they make a 1/8"x24 NPT and a 1/8"x27 NPT.
thanks,, i think i answered my own question.. seems for me,, the 5/16 bit (in my scrap pc of metal) worked better and then dont run the tap in so far. it threaded good. thanks sooooo much for your quick reply.. dont mean to be such a pain with so many questions..
