A strange thing happened to me today. After starting my truck it hiccuped then started running very rough. Because i had parked on a steep driveway, i thought mabe it was a fuel issue. It turnes out, the hiccup popped off my pvc hose, which brings me to my question. Besides the pcv hose, what other lines etc, should i replace to make sure i maintain the vaccuum pressure needed for the engine to run efficiently. I have a '69 F250 with a 360, C6.
When the pcv hose came off there was a sucking air noise. Before this event there has always been a smaller sucking air kind of sound when i accelerate. Is there any type of vaccuum associated with the transmission? Its seems to be near the tranny.
