broken axle... i think
hi everyone, 1st post and i've searched.
let me start off by explaining my situation: recently disloacted my knee so i was in a straight immobilizer. not wanting that to keep me form having fun, i went to try out my new tranny on some trails. the trails weren't bad and had some small puddles, went through a couple of them then saw a large one (mind you, broken MPFL and MCL... i didn't want to get out of the truck to engage 4x4
)
high centered on the rear 3rd member in 2WD with my tailgate underwater and tires spinning freely. not having any other ideas, i engaged the warn premiem hubs. jumped back in and engaged 4x4... LOUD pop coming from the front axle. followed by loud clicks coming from passanger side hub. guessing i tore up the hubs.
well when i got out, i put it on a lift engaged 4x4, noticeing only 1 axle turning (passanger side) the other axle is not moving at all...
did i break that axle?

No, there's still hope. If you tore the guts out of the passenger side hub so that the shaft spins freely inside then the differential is going to send all the twist down that shaft while the other side doesn't move. Get Warn to send you a new hub and also replace whatever else got banged up on that side and see what happens from there.
