Missing Helper Springs

Do all SDs come with helper springs? Mine has none, why would someone remove them? I'm guessing air bags, I assume it was used for towing a 5th wheel, as the rails are still there.

If that is the only reason you all can think of as well, would it make the most sense to install another as opposed to replacing the helpers? Or is it no big deal to leave it as is?

As always "thank you for your support"

Every F350 I've seen has helpers springs but not all F250s do. I think the helpers are normally removed when airbags are installed.

I think the helper springs were an option on the F250 in '99.

Hello Clay, I believe I need to order a CPS from you. And I guess while I have you on the phone, I'll need... (originally by 00 Dave)

a Pacbrake air spring system, and um an A&E, and let's see, a stainless MBRP exhaust system, and how about a 38R just for good measure

I had to remove my f350 helper spring and block to install a lift kit per its instructions. So that is also a possibility.

It was an option on the 250's I owned two, one with (gas), one without.(diesel)
It was also an option on the 350's IIRC it was part of a camper package.
My 99 350 DRW has them, my bosses 01 f350 DRW does not.

It's definitely worth having those overload springs. I've heard them slap the stops going through a dip with a load a couple times. I wouldn't take mine off.

Wow Thanks Jim, awesome offer. Also I don't even have the stops on mine, so I would have to find those as well.

If I decide to get airbags, would I have to remove them? I can't tell by looking at the pictures I've seen.

Why did you remove yours Jim?

as of November 1st you can have the stops also
i took them off when i did the drop on my truck
im pretty sure u can have air bags and overloads ... the bags mount on the spring perch tops so i should not matter

if it doesnt work id be willing to help u make a mount so that they will, im currently engineering a mount for a used system a friend bought

Big Reps to Jim, he gave me the springs and wouldn't take anything for them. Not even dinner , maybe another time, he wanted to get on the road.

Thanks Jim! I really appreciate it.
