99 troubles

We had our engine replaced at 26K, now at 29K we're
having our transmission replaced (pretty metallic fluid!),
as well as other miscellaneous problems. Has anyone else
had any of these problems? Thankfully we're under warranty,
but we don't feel so good about the future. Dealer wants
us to take an extended warranty and be happy, we're thinking
it's a lem*n and want a new one or at least the better part.

Any experiences? Please send to orbrucej(No Email Addresses In Posts!) as
I'm an infrequent visitor.

Thanks

I had the engine problem. 5.4 V8. The oil leak problem on the passenger side, rear of engine. Ford did the repairs last Fall. No problems since. Look in the past threads. There are several about the oil leaks on these modular engines. One will be mine. Good luck. Jake.
