wow with those rebuild kit prices I'm interested in attempting it. Anyone ever tried this, or am I nuts. OK wrenching, but more of a parts changer than mechanic. What specialty tools would someone need to do that?

 

I've bought parts from Bulkpart before, that's where I got the kit for the last C6 I did. Great prices and good selection.

Here's another for the 4R100 E4OD, 4R100 Transmission from PATC, E4OD, 4R100 I believe this is the site Roland got a lot of the stuff to rebuild his transmission with.

This is where I got my ATSG rebuild manual that rides around in the center console as "insurance".

Somehow, the truck knows it's there, and I can fix it if it breaks, so it doesn't mess wif' me!
