Howdy there guys,I was looking at my truck and pics of other trucks and want mine bigger. I was thinking a 4in or a 6in but i got some questions. I want to try to keep my engine but I'm not sure if the ol' gal will move her. She has the stock 300 in her with the NP tranny creeper plus 3 and 3.50's in the rear. Right now it is just brute torque and low end but not a whole lot of speed. So i'm running 32x 11.50 buckshots on 15x10's. If I have a 4 in with the 32's hows it going to run, and if i have a 6 with 35's hows it going to run. If worse comes to worse My friend has a stock 460 in his barn. I don't really want to have to swap the 300 ( Yeah right i want 500hp) because 10mpg is low ennough now. Thanks for reading sorry its long.

I know what your asking, but not exactly sure what you have now.
If your already running 32's, the lift won't change anything.
If your stepping up from 32's to 35's you will notice low end loss, but not to drastic and probably could get by if your not looking for off road performance.
I ran a 77 with a 300, with 35's, but was running 4:10's and that was fine.
if its a stock well running 460, you should get 10-11 mpg uphill downhill heh. As for lift, i would say go for 4 inches if your just gonna run 35's. These trucks have pretty large wheelwells.
35's may be a problem w/ that 6 popper. You can run 35's w/ a 300-I6 but I would highly suggest a gear change. I ran 35's on my truck w/ 3.50 gears and it did alright but I have a pretty stout big block (roughly 325hp/430ft/lb). That little 6 will be struggling pretty bad. A setr of 4.10's would allow you to run 35's w/ the 6cyl. If you drop in that 460, 35's and 3.50 gears will be fine.
Also, if your getting 10mpg out of a 300 str 6 you must have a fuel leak or something. My dad had a 78 F-150 w/ a 300/4sp and it got over 20mpg on the highway (it also had over 300k mi on the clock too)
