my #7 cylinder is missing like mike tyson at a spelling bee, was running great changed all the plugs, all the boots and springs, I also changed the coil pack in #7 once I figured out which cylinder was missing, it seems to come and go but I'm sure its number 7 put an infared on exhaust manifolds all of them 500 deg. f. except number 7 which is 200 deg f.
Ok, try swaping the injectors. Again, these are at the front of the engine and easy to access. If #7 injector is plugged it won't fuel and won't produce any heat.
Remove the two bolts that hold the fuel rail down. Pull the fuel rail up from the front #6 and #7. There should be enough play to get those two out without any problem. They have O-rings on both top and bottom sometimes the O-ring will stick in the manifold or fuel rail, make sure you pull them out and re-install them on the injectors. Make the swap, line up the injectors and fuel rail...push down until seated. Install two bolts and done. Should take more the 15 minutes.
Hey Mr. pipeline, what do you think about this I'm stumped ready to pull my hair out.
I just installed a flowmaster muffler, I have come to the conclusion it is bad. It was misfiring and I finally have that squared away(i think) went to autozone had them run diagnostic cleared it then went for a ride and came back and no codes showed up. But I'm still getting that sound out of the muffler of a misfire and around 55-60 mph i get a little hesitation like a misfire. Anybody have any ideas????
I used bosch spark plugs, is there something wrong with them.
Yes! Bosch is one of the plugs that these engines don't like, missing is one of the symptoms.Someone else will chime in here with more info. This may be the problem.
