I agree. Good sealed beam headlights are fine.... I'm pretty sure they were in use for a year or two, on a handful of vehicles.

Adding auxiliary lighting for special needs, that's fine too.

How do you like your light set up? Does salt corrode it at all or anything? How easy was the install? Looks really good!

Thank you. We dont use salt here. The dam greenies cry and whine if someone spits on the road let alone a nasty chemical like salt.

All in all I really like it. When coming home over the mountain at nigth in the winter it works really well to light up the road. I dont use it allot but it is there if I need it. I bought an Ellis design light bar. It is very close to the KC bar. Then a set of driving and a set of fog PIAA's. A good mix.

Cool, thanks for the input. The trick here is always to try to find something that won't rot away after one winter. What do you guys use for snow treatment out that way? No salt?!?!?!

No salt. We dont get much snow in the city. Teh city uses a little de icer. The mountain still is old fashion. They use gravel pretty much. On this side of the mountain its pretty much a pea gravel and the other side they have lots of lava rock so its a red cinder sand pretty much. The other side of the mountain is central Oregon and its a much drier snow so its not bad at all to drive in. They dont make you use cahins much but on Mt. Hood its more of a wetter snow like in town and they love the chains required sign when towing. I have a 27 ft enclosed snowmobile trailer with dual axles and they think I need to chain up for some reason. I have never felt the need but the police have found another form of income on the mountain. They will let a two whell drive ricer on the mountain that has never see snow but a guy with 4 wheel drive and close to a 100G in equilpment that drives in snow every other weekend and it set up for it they ticket him as they know he will pay. Doesnt make sense to me.
