loose steering
so i picked up my 75 f100 4x4 with a 360(replaced with a built 390) knowing the steering box was going out(half turn until it grabs) and i want to know if anyone has a gearbox or anything that i could do to get it on the road.no junkyards here in oh have it and no auto parts stores have the manual one.i know its the box because i isolated it(pulled it) and bench tested it.ive called red head and theyre 350 plus a core.i wouldnt mind converting to power but its not the easiest for me to find parts for this truck.any help is greatly appreciated.
But on the good side body and drivetrain is solid it just needs a little love here and there.i can post pics later.i also need a new tailgate.any color im painting it this year at school.

well somehow someone from my dads work shimmed something in it and its alot tighter now but now the fun part is getting it back into place and has anyone heard of a disk type object in the lower radiator hose?i was under there and just so happened to look up and feel and it feels like a thermostat.its in the middle of the hose and the lower hose is cool while the upper is hot
