ive got and 86 b2 2.9 that ive replaced the fuel pressure reg and the egr sensor and its still running rich. now im thinking its the o2 sensor but i wanted to see what you guys said first. the computer keeps popping a code 15 out at me though. any thoughts.
From www.dalidesign.com code "15 (O) No Keep Alive Memory power to PCM pin 1 or bad PCM (Memory Test Failure)
(M) KAM (pin 1) was interrupted (was battery disconnected ?)" Sounds like there may be a problem with the computer itself. Since the computer controls mixture, a problem with the computer would either cause problems, or cause it to revert to a failure mode that operates the vehicle based on fixed inputs. You need to get (or take it to someone who has) access to some good manuals that will take you through the test procedures and the circuit tests and help you get a good diagnosis. If it were me, my next stop would be the library where they have copies of the "Motor" and "Mitchell" manuals.
well i had it lose for about 12 hours yesterday then hooked it up and tested before i did anything or even started. same codes. the wiring is good. i just rewired it and checked all of them against the wiring diagrams from ford. so im guessing its the mem failing. dont know for sure.
