hey,
I am trying to design a custom box for my 1995 F-150 regular cab so it will hold (2) Kenwood Tornado 12's and my 600w Kenwood amp.......i want to be able to scoot the seats all the way back. or at least as far as possible anyone have any good ideas? im kinda having troubles coming up with a design for this. the reason i dont want to use 2 seperate truck boxes is because they dont have enough air space i need like 2-3 cubes of air to let these babies hit as hard as they can. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
I have a 95 F350 with two 10's behind the seats. My box is made by mtx. The guy told me that it is designed for trucks like ours. I bought the package that came with two mtx thunder 8000's and the box. The box fits perfect. I suggest just going to an mtx dealer and looking at the box and measuring it.
ok, go for 1-1.5 cube per sub. use seperate chamber, u'll get better responce out of them. now, might want to try mounting the subs offset to the drivers side and amp on the passenger side. also the subs have a mounting depth of 5 6/16" so basically 5 1/2" so u can basically make the boxes, if u mount the subs near the bottom, around 8-8.5" on the bottom and 5" up top. height and width will be up to u.
