IC and pipes

so whats the best truck to pull these from (years)i'm going to look at a truck tomorrow and don't want to get something i cant use think he said it was an 01 or 02.i've got the spyder allready.and how bad is it to install one of these?i'll have my motor out hopefully in a few weeks

Where did you get the spyder? They changed in the 99.5 year, so it it's 99.5+ you'll also need new intake plenums. (larger intake holes)

Any IC will work, a 6.0 one will flow a little better than a 7.3 one (bigger). For the tubes, get any year 7.3 ones. I got one for each side off of a 7.3 and one extra piece for cutting up and using pieces off of to make the pass. side work easier.

IC is not bad to put in, just takes a little time.

There was an intercooler installation diagram on the Banks site that had some templets for cutting the core support & hood latch support.

well went and looked at it today its a 2000 model.the intercooler looked warped like it had been hit.but could'nt find any marks were it had hit anything.are they tweeked from the factory?with a little curve to them? not much just alittle that its noticable.he's wanting $250 for it and the pipes what do you guys think?
and hes got the trans cooler are they better than my stock one

If I remember correctly the 2000 trans cooler isn't a big upgrade from ours. A 6.0 transcooler is if you can find one.

250 isn't bad, but isn't a big bargain either. Do you get any boots and clamps for that price? I'm not sure I understand the "warped" look you see. I don't think it should have that. Maybe someone else will jump in on the "warped look" you see.

Little OT, I'd like to see a pic of that ltd wagon you got in your sig sometime!

yeah just sold it last month trying to thin down the heard.sold it and the fairmont the same weekend.it was fun to drive it to work back when

thanks it was fun and differnt.now i'm getting back into the older cars agian mustangs about done. so as soon as i get my new motor in the 96 truck i'll get back on the falcon project

Be careful because some pipes are aluminum so if you intend to weld on them it might be difficult.

Sweet stang and falcon. I wish the falcon had full rear well opening.
