I am looking at purchasing an Expedition or a Navigator. While I prefer the Nav, I prefer the Expediton's price. The problem is both have the rear bucket seat option. Can they be converted to the rear bench seat should I need the additional seating area in the future? Having twins runs in my wife's family. Three babies and two bucket seats probably would not be a good thing. Other than a bench seat, the floor bracket and bolts, is there anything else necessary? How easy is it to do if it can be done.

I'm sure there's a bunch of people that would be more than willing to do a one for one swap with you if you are looking to get rid of the bucket seats/console for the bench seat. Just come over to http://www.g33ks.org/XOG/index2.html (Expedition Owners group) and ask that question. I'm sure there's someone near you that would love to make that conversion that has the same color leather that you have. Hell, I would even be willing to do that trade, but, I have the grey cloth interior and having the ability to lay the seats flat does come in handy at times when I seem to have to move a couch or something like that.
